Welcome to Lakewoods Cottage Resort, our little piece of paradise on the shores of beautiful Oxtongue Lake. Situated 10 km from the west gate of Algonquin Park, and an easy drive from both Huntsville and Dorset, our fully equipped house-keeping cottages are your ideal home-away-from-home while exploring Muskoka and the Algonquin Highlands.

Please note: There is air conditioning and heating in every cottage.

Each of our ten house-keeping cottages comes with a fully equipped kitchen, a gas BBQ, a television set (with satellite TV for those rainy days) and a gas fireplace (with the exception of cottage #6). Swim or play on the safe sandy beach, paddle the picturesque Oxtongue River to Ragged Falls, or simply enjoy the views across Oxtongue Lake.

Lakewoods Cottage Resort is a cozy and casual family-owned and family-operated cottage colony, and is open year round. Pets are accepted on approval of the management.

Think Green : The water at the resort is drawn from a well 130 feet deep and is then filtered, softened, UV treated, filtered a second time and then PH controlled. The water is tested by an outside lab regularly and is acceptable to drink. We think it is better than any bottled water. Bottled water has its own health issues as well partially because of chemicals needed to extend shelf life.
